Cooper Owen Rock and Pop Legends Auction
Cooper Owen will be holding a Rock Legends auction on the 5th June
2003 which contains a couple of Doors-related
items. Commission bids can be placed on their website now at
www.cooperowen.com and the auction will culminate with a live event
at 23 Denmark Street, London on the 5th June at 4pm BST. Bids can
also be placed on eBay.

them two handwritten poems by Jim Morrison.

The Doors 21st Century played L.A.
The Doors played the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles Friday
night to a sold out crowd. Those of you in the Mid-West and East
Coast of the USA can expect to see the band hitting major venues
in late March thru mid May. In June the band plans on touring Europe
for a few weeks. Also look for the band to travel to Japan towards
the end of July, and then hitting the USA again in the early fall.

Densmore verklagt Ray Manzarek und Robby Krieger.
Doors-Schlagzeuger John Densmore reichte beim Los Angeles County
Superior Court Klage gegen seine ehemaligen Bandkollegen Ray Manzarek
und Robby Krieger wegen Vertragsbruch, unfairem Wettbewerb und unerlaubter
Verwendung eines Warenzeichens ein. Die Klage drängt auf Erlassung
einer einstweiligen Verfügung sowie auf Schadenersatz wegen
finanzieller Einbußen durch die widerrechtliche Verwendung
des Namens The Doors und des Doors-Logos.
John Densmore wirft Ray Manzarek und Robby Krieger
vor, daß sie ohne seine Zustimmung seit September 2002 zusammen
mit anderen Musikern unter dem Namen 'The Doors' auftreten. Mitangeklagt
sind Sänger Ian Astbury und Schlagzeuger Stewart Copeland,
weil sie sich nach Ansicht von John Densmore widerrechtlich als
Mitglieder der Band The Doors ausgeben.
Ray Manzarek bezeichnete John Densmores Klage
In einer ersten Stellungnahme als 'lächerlich' und gab an,
dass John Densmore sowohl von ihm als auch von Robby Krieger mehrfach
gebeten wurde, bei einer Reunion der Doors mitzuwirken, er dies
aber stets aus gesundheitlichen Gründen abgelehnt habe. (HG)

The Doors 21st Century played the Palms Hotel in
Las Vegas
Sunday night, January 19, marked the first concert of 2003 for The
Doors Of The 21st Century. The sold out show was an evening of high
energy rock & roll. Adding to the music was the Brotherhood

Here's the latest on Robby and The Doors 21st Century. Rehearsals
commenced today for their two upcoming shows. Stewart Copeland,
who had broken his arm in late November 2002, is all healed and
they will be performing next Sunday, January 19, in Las Vegas and
February 7 in Los Angeles. On January 30 The Doors will be taping
a segment of the Late Show with Craig Kilborn. Also tune
into the Mark & Brian Show (KLOS 95.5 fm in Los Angeles)
on January 31 as The Doors 21st Century are going to perform live.
Also scheduled is an appearance on NBC's Last Call with Carson

It is now confirmed that The Doors will also perform at the Harley-Davidson
Road Show in Toronto on September 29. As has been reported, John
Densmore's participation in these shows is still up in the air.
In the event that John cannot perform, filling in on drums will

DOORS-REUNION !!
Jetzt ist es amtlich: Sowohl Robby Krieger als auch Ray Manzarek
haben bestätigt, daß die Doors am 6. September 2002 in Fontana,
Kalifornien, und am 29. September 2002 in Toronto, Kanada, zwei
Konzerte geben werden. Als Sänger ist Ian Astbury (The Cult) vorgesehen,
der auch auf der Doors-Tribute CD STONED IMMACULATE (2001) mitwirkte.
Zusätzlich werden bei einigen Songs noch weitere Gastmusiker und
-sänger mitauftreten. Ob Doors-Schlagzeuger John Densmore mit von
der Partie sein wird, ist derzeit noch unsicher – gesundheitliche
Probleme könnten seine Mitwirkung verhindern. Für Frühjahr 2003
ist sowohl eine US-Tournee als auch eine Europa-Tournee geplant.
Robby Krieger, Ray Manzarek und John Densmore arbeiten derzeit an
Songs für ein neues Doors-Album, das sie nach den angekündigten
Tourneen aufnehmen werden. (HG)
