Online-Versteigerungs-Flut
Alle Musikfans, die ein paar Mark zuviel in der Tasche haben, können
demnächst wieder Erinnerungsstücke von Musik-Legenden online ersteigern.
Am 27. März findet im Hard Rock Café London eine 'Rock- und Pop-Legenden'
Versteigerung statt, die vom Online-Auktionshaus Fleetwoodowen veranstaltet
wird, und bei der man live im Netz mitbieten kann. Handgeschriebene
Gedichte von Jim Morrison kommen da ebenso unter den Hammer wie
der Spitting Image Gummi-Kopf von Dire Straits-Frontmann Mark Knopfler
oder das Klavier, auf dem Elton John bei seinem ersten öffentlichen
Auftritt gespielt hat. Echten Rockstar-Chic gibt es mit der feinen
Abendgarderobe von Led Zeppelin und der Lederjacke von Freddy Mercury.

Four New CD Releaes Slated On Bright Midnight Records
1. The Doors Lost Interview Tapes (Featuring Jim Morrison) Vol.
I.
2. The Doors Live In Hollywood: The Best of the Aquarius
Concerts.
Features highlight material derived from their three performances
in 1969 at the Aquarius Theatre, digitally remastered with rare
artwork and special packaging.
3. The Doors Live at the Aquarius: First Performance.
Including soundcheck bonus material. Digitally remastered.
4. The Doors Lost Interview Tapes Vol. II: The Jim Morrison Circus
Magazine Interview.
Featuring never-before-heard interviews with Jim Morrison, as well
as Robby Krieger, John Densmore and Ray Manzarek. The Interview
disc is a single CD.
The first release should go on sale by early April,
the second and third will be available the week of July 3rd – - the
30th anniversary of Jim's death in Paris. The fourth is scheduled
for early August release. Each of the three Aquarius performances
will be released individually in their entirety in the months to
come. After all three Aquarius Concerts have been released, Bright
Midnight Records will compile them into a box set. The Doors hope
to release the additional two Aquarius shows in their entirety no

Gedichte von Jim Morrison unter dem Hammer
Hamburg (dpa) – Bislang unveröffentlichte
Gedichte, die der Doors- Sänger Jim Morrison kurz vor seinem Tod
im Juli 1971 geschrieben hat, kommen demnächst unter den Hammer.
Das Internet-Auktionshaus «Moments In Time» stellt drei der 20 Seiten
derzeit im Internet aus und berichtet, Morrison habe die handgeschriebenen
Texte im Monat vor seinem Tod in Paris geschrieben und am Tag vor
seinem Ableben einem Mitbewohner übergeben. Wann die Auktion starten
soll, wird noch nicht mitgeteilt. Fest steht aber schon das Mindestgebot,
das bei 225.000 US-Dollar liegen soll. «Moments In Time» hat sich
schon mehrfach einen Namen als Auktionator von Rock-Memorabilia
gemacht. So versteigerte man das Plattencover, das John Lennon fünf
Stunden vor seiner Ermordung unterzeichnet hatte, im Januar 1999
für 460.000 Dollar.

Final Book of Poetry by Jim Morrison
MOMENTS IN TIME is proud to announce the acquisition of the Final
Book of Poetry kept by Jim Morrison. Written entirely in Morrison's
hand within a month of his death, this extraordinary discovery was
given to Morrison's roommate the day before his death (July 3, 1971).
An auction is scheduled for June 2001 with details to be announced
soon. Private offers over $ 325,000 shall be considered before auction,
for immediate sale. Arrangements can be made to view the original
book of poetry (Steno Notebook, 20 pages

Anmerkung:
Denjenigen möchte ich kennenlernen, der
für diesen Stenoblock 325.000 Dollar bezahlt – schon weil es
mich interessiert, wer von den ehemaligen Bekannten Jim Morrisons
die Frechheit besitzt, eine derartige Summe für lumpige zwanzig
handgeschriebene Zettel zu verlangen, die Jim Morrison möglicherweise
lediglich achtlos irgendwo herumliegenließ. Daß die
Zettel aus Paris stammen und unmittelbar vor seinem Tod beschrieben
wurden, wage ich ernsthaft zu bezweifeln – nicht zuletzt deshalb,
weil Jim Morrison anlässlich seines Parisaufenthaltes ein spezielles
Notizbuch namens Paris Journal angelegt hatte. (HG)
