Buch basiert angeblich auf Tagebuchaufzeichnungen der Autorin
aus dem Jahre 1971. Obwohl Judy Huddleston, außer daß
sie in der Danksagung der Jim-Morrison-Biographie No One
Here Gets Out Alive erwähnt wurde, mit diesem Buch
erstmals in Sachen Jim Morrison in Erscheinung getreten ist,
gilt es als authentisch. Oliver Stone hat viele Szenen in
dem Film The Doors, in denen das persönliche Verhältnis
zwischen Jim Morrison und seiner langjährigen Freundin
Pamela Courson dargestellt ist, aus dem damals noch unveröffentlichten
Manuskript dieses Buches adaptiert.
